Howdy! My name is Jessica King. I am a Texas-based journalist focusing on religious reporting. I am a journalism graduate from Texas A&M University where I received my B.A. in Journalism with a double minor in English and Horticulture. During my undergrad, I contributed to The Battalion, the student news site for Texas A&M, as a contributing writer and design editor; Wrote for Maroon Weekly Magazine as a summer intern focusing on Arts & Entertainment journalism; Wrote press releases for Shane McAuliffe, host of the Texas Bucket List; and my original poem "Initiating Love" was published in the 10th volume of the Eckleburg Project Literary Journal.
I am an active poet with a love for Jesus, music (analyzing song lyrics), Monte Carlo starring Selena Gomez, lavender in all its forms, coffee shop conversations, romance books, journaling and plants. I am passionate about storytelling and sharing the Good News of Jesus. Ever since I was first encouraged to journal in Kindergarten, I knew I wanted to be a fiction author. In June 2019, I began authoring my faith-based blog "Kingdom Minded" where I first saw my two passions blend together. Today, pursuing my dream of being a fiction author by drafting my character-driven, scripture-inspired debut novel that began as a creative writing course project at Texas A&M.
I am so happy and honored that you are here! Please join me on my journey to becoming a best-selling author!
